Oak Ridge, Florida Logo Design

Nearly every new Oak Ridge business understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the crucial role their organization’s logo can perform in their financial success, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the viability of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Oak Ridge, Florida businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Oak Ridge, Florida coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually launching in an older part of town and wished to visualize a retro atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via developing a logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Oak Ridge, Florida clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Oak Ridge, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Oak Ridge, Florida traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oak Ridge logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Oak Ridge logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Oak Ridge, Florida book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book since it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems that in many instances one of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Oak Ridge logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Oak Ridge, Florida, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it seems that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo that conveyed a sense of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating just a stylized orchid but rather created a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout attributes and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Oak Ridge business logo dsign along with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really created for an Oak Ridge, Florida area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this company logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make a graphic that projected esteem, success, and opulence.

Oak Ridge Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for outwardly dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the opportunity to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo designed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
