Opa-locka, Florida Logo Design

Every new Opa-locka organization understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly recognize the essential role their organization’s logo will play in their financial success, or why one logo design performs far better than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the viability of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Opa-locka, Florida businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to movie screens a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike created for a Opa-locka, Florida coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old part of the city and really wanted to cast a vintage atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by developing a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs designed for Opa-locka, Florida medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Opa-locka, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Opa-locka, Florida traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Opa-locka logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Opa-locka logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Opa-locka, Florida publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a published book given that it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the things individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Opa-locka logo design utilized for advertising and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Opa-locka, Florida, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that conveyed a spirit of ease and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style produced for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software designer the design functions as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Opa-locka logo design dsign using a graphic that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Opa-locka, Florida area farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to develop a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.

Opa-locka Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo design feature for externally facing arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo made for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
