Pensacola, Florida Logo Design

Each and every new Pensacola business professional understands that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the pivotal role their company logo will take in their financial success, or why one business logo performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term influence on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Pensacola, Florida companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike created for a Pensacola, Florida coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an old section of the community and really wanted to visualize an old-fashioned feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via creating a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs made for Pensacola, Florida clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household fun center in Pensacola, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Pensacola, Florida traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pensacola logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Pensacola logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Pensacola, Florida book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book because it is often the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Pensacola logo style made use of for advertising and a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Pensacola, Florida, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that projected a sense of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software designer the layout functions and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Pensacola logo dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
