Rockledge Logo Design

Virtually every new Rockledge business knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully understand the key role their logo design will take in their success, or the reason that one logo performs far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term impact on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Rockledge companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Rockledge coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an older section of the area and really wanted to cast a retro feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by creating a company logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria created for Rockledge clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Rockledge.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Rockledge travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rockledge logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Rockledge logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Rockledge publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems like that in many instances one of the items people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Rockledge logo design used for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Rockledge, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that related a spirit of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo style a little dining establishment, layout contains a customized manuscript font which hovers over a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design attributes and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Advance logo style developed for a Rockledge indoor developer, design attribute a series of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Rockledge logo dsign along with an image that seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Rockledge area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate an identity that projects esteem, success, and wealth.
Logo design created for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
