St. Petersburg LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping start ups and entrepreneurs develop unforgettable brands. We have done branding work for farmers, educational institutions, heart surgeons, party planners, coffee shops, retailers, and virtually every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as if it will be utilized as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first strategy our identity designs can, and have been utilized in everything from garment labels to neon signs. Our sign first technique ensures that our logo designs are equally successful whether they are used in television commercials or website apps, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and always remembered regardless of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference that really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you might have come across online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are retained to do, we perform in-house. Regardless of the type of design project we undertake, logo, business website, trade show exhibit, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will job-out our customer’s projects to 3rd parties based outside the USA. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that increases the price of your project and imposes the conditions of how you and I do business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new St. Petersburg entrepreneur realizes that they require a logo, yet few start-ups entirely understand the key role their organization’s logo can make in their success, or exactly why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help St. Petersburg businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is a verb as well as a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of noting something so that it could be identified, its genesis comes from the mark burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand represents basically anything with an intention, whether it be profit or politics, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are each from the very same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity contest directed at a target market, it’s objective is to create a mental image that the audience will identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and identity design. When someone mentions the brand names Lamborghini or Mustang what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why people acquire most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Agencies – If you reflect on the history of a lot of branding companies you’ll discover that they are quite often rebranded advertising firms. When a person says they are in advertising the majority of people will likely have an idea about what they do. Yet when a person states “I am in branding”… it just sounds much more attractive, possibly it’s due to the fact that most people don’t recognize what it suggests to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and attractive.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that describes the visual aspects of a product or agency that influence perceptions. This mainly consists of the name, the logo design, the packaging, the colors utilized yet can additionally include audio, illumination, texture, signage, actually anything that can be seen, touched or listened to belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that focuses on a kind of visual design that helps shape the public image of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral material such as cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some identity designers also design websites and software interfaces. The important role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues as well as a psychological tone with the goal of influencing actions, end results as well as perceptions.

select logos & signs

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a St. Petersburg coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old section of the town and hoped to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via developing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria made for St. Petersburg clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a family members fun facility in St. Petersburg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for St. Petersburg travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  St. Petersburg logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

St. Petersburg logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for St. Petersburg book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

St. Petersburg logo style used for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in St. Petersburg, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a St. Petersburg hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that carried a spirit of serenity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian horse logo design created for an equine ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind logo concept tailored to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. By having a distinctive head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A St. Petersburg restaurant logo design a little restaurant, style includes a changed script font which hovers above a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a little dining establishment, layout contains a changed manuscript typeface which hovers over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software application developer the style features and renowned St. Petersburg aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Evolve logo style produced for a St. Petersburginterior developer, style attribute a series of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a St. Petersburg interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is an individual who arranges, researches, coordinates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that involves conceptual development, area planning, location inspections, programming, research study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in St. Petersburg, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of words advanced have been changed to link directly into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular St. Petersburg logo design job was carried out for a management guide that assists business professionals to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A St. Petersburg business logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their St. Petersburg logo design along with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo design MQ ranches, this St. Petersburg company logo style has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an St. Petersburg area farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a image that projects self-confidence, success, and prosperity.

St. Petersburg Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for externally encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a well-known St. Petersburg sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
