Tallahassee Logo Design

Every new Tallahassee venture understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their logo design can take in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term influence on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Tallahassee companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Tallahassee coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an older part of the area and wished to cast a retro atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by means of designing a logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Tallahassee medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Tallahassee.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Tallahassee traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tallahassee logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Tallahassee logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo realize how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Tallahassee publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most critical part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the traits consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Tallahassee logo layout utilized for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Tallahassee, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it seems that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which communicated a spirit of peace and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style produced for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind creative logo concept fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having a different head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine types in the entire world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a little restaurant, style includes a modified script font which floats above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software developer the layout functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Progress logo style created for a Tallahassee indoor designer, design function a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Tallahassee logo dsign along with an illustration that grabs the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Tallahassee area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to generate a brand mark that projects confidence, success, and luxury.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
