Tamiami Logo Design

Virtually every new Tamiami company knows they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully recognize the key role their organization logo will take in their financial success, or why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Tamiami companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Tamiami coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older part of town and wished to visualize a nostalgic vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of designing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Tamiami medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog designed for a family fun center in Tamiami.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Tamiami travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tamiami logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Tamiami logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Tamiami book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Tamiami logo style made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Tamiami, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it appears that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which communicated a feeling of tranquility and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo design for a software program designer the design functions and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Advance logo design created for a Tamiami indoor developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Tamiami business logo dsign utilizing an illustration which captures the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really developed for an Tamiami area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to make a brand mark that projects assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design created for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
