Tampa, Florida Logo Design

Every new Tampa organization knows they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely grasp the key role their logo design will play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and long term effect on the financial success of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Tampa, Florida businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Tampa, Florida coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old section of the town and wished to visualize a nostalgic vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks via designing a symbol design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for Tampa, Florida medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun facility in Tampa, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Tampa, Florida travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tampa logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Tampa logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Tampa, Florida publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Tampa logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Tampa, Florida, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that carried a sense of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the emotion that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program programmer the style attributes as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Tampa business logo dsign along with a graphic that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really composed for an Tampa, Florida area farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to produce a brand mark that projects esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.

Tampa Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first try.

Logo designed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
