STRATEGIES FOR FINDING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design company offers a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not refund the amount of time you commit which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but ultimately a design agency can only be judged by the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not contain actual examples odds are they won’t be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s objective is to mirror your personal vision for your organization. If a logo designer isn’t focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how soon they will get paid.

Temple Terrace LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs grow unforgettable brands. We have done logo design work for ranchers, educational institutions, diamond miners, party planners, bistros, retailers, and just about every other kind of business you can imagine. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every brand identity project as if it will be utilized as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first technique our logo designs can, and have been utilized in everything from fashion labels to billboards. Our sign first approach insures that our logo designs are just as effective whether they are used in TV commercials or web headers, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and remembered regardless of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

The thing that really sets ImageCo apart from other design firms that you probably have stumbled upon in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are brought on board to perform, we perform in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we accept, logo design, web page, trade show display, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will job out our customer’s projects to organizations located outside the United States. When you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the cost of your project and dictates the conditions of how you and I do business.

QUALITIES OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Temple Terrace business realizes that they need a logo, but few start-ups fully understand the pivotal role their logo will make in their success, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A logo has an instant and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Temple Terrace businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not need deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from label to store signs a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the item or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark as well as the act of marking something so that it could be distinguished, its genesis comes from the mark branded onto animals. These days a brand indicates basically anything with a motive, regardless if it be revenue or politics, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the value of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are each from the very same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest directed at a target market, it’s objective is to develop a mental image that the target market will likely identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone says the names Ferrari or Mustang what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals want those products. Brand image is why people identify with most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Agencies – If you look back at the history of most branding firms you’ll discover that they are frequently rebranded advertising companies. When someone claims they are in advertising the majority of people will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. But when somebody claims “I am in branding”… it just seems more impressive, maybe it’s since most individuals don’t know what it implies to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and perhaps even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that explains the visual elements of a product or company that affect view points. This primarily consists of the name, the logo design, the product packaging, the colors used yet can also consist of sound, lighting, texture, signage, really anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that focuses on a kind of visual design which helps shape the perception of a firm, a product or a company. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, as well as collateral material such as cards, stationery, as well as brochures. Some visual designers also develop web sites and user interfaces. The necessary duty of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and also a psychological tone with the goal of influencing activities, results and understandings.

select signs/logos

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Temple Terrace coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older part of the community and wished to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by designing a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria designed for Temple Terrace medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Temple Terrace.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Temple Terrace traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Temple Terrace logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Temple Terrace logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of obstacles, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Temple Terrace book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is often the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it looks like that in many cases one of the items people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Temple Terrace logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Instance includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Temple Terrace, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a Temple Terrace hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which projected an atmosphere of contentment and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian steed logo design created for an equine ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind brand concept tailored to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having an unique head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately recognizable equine breeds in the world.

Las Cafe, A Temple Terrace Coffee shop logo design a little restaurant, layout consists of a changed manuscript typeface which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a small dining establishment, design includes a changed manuscript font style which floats over a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software program developer the style functions as well as renowned Temple Terrace aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Develop logo layout developed for a Temple Terraceindoor developer, style feature a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Temple Terrace interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who arranges, researches, collaborates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a multifaceted occupation that consists of conceptual development, space planning, site assessments, programming, study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Temple Terrace, the personalities for letter V and also A in center of the word advanced have actually been changed to link directly right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Temple Terrace logo design job was performed for a leadership advisor that aids business leaders to develop into more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Temple Terrace business logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Temple Terrace logo design design along with a graphic which captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Temple Terrace company logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Temple Terrace regional farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make a image that projects self-confidence, financial success, and affluence.

Temple Terrace Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a popular Temple Terrace sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
