The Hammocks, Florida Logo Design

Every new The Hammocks organization understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners fully recognize the vital role their business logo can play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo has an instant and lasting effect on the prosperity of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help The Hammocks, Florida businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike developed for a The Hammocks, Florida coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an older section of the community and really wanted to project a vintage feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of developing a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for The Hammocks, Florida clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable facility in The Hammocks, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for The Hammocks, Florida travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  The Hammocks logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

The Hammocks logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for The Hammocks, Florida book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a printed book given that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many cases 1 of the things individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

The Hammocks logo style utilized for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in The Hammocks, Florida, layout consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that conveyed an atmosphere of relaxation and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo style for a software application programmer the design attributes as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their The Hammocks logo dsign utilizing an illustration which captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an The Hammocks, Florida area farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a brand mark that projected self-confidence, success, and opulence.

The Hammocks Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
