POINTERS FOR SELECTING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company presents a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not reimburse the time you invest which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some design firms talk a good game but inevitably a designer can only be determined from the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio does not contain actual examples chances are they won’t be able to deliver a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s aim is to be understood and remembered, and it’s purpose is to mirror your unique vision for your organization. If a designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Titusville LOGO DESIGN

For over twenty years ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds establish unforgettable brands. We have undertaken branding work for mechanics, educational institutions, heart surgeons, wedding singers, coffee shops, retail stores, and virtually every other kind of business you can think of. What makes ImageCo different compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every brand identity project as though it will be employed as an electric sign. Because of our sign first approach our logo designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to neon signs. Our sign first approach insures that our logo designs are equally effective whether they are used in TV commercials or web applications, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and remembered regardless of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

Something which seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you might possibly have encountered in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are enlisted to perform, we perform in-house. No matter the kind of project we undertake, brand identity design, web page, trade show banners, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s projects to contractors located outside the USA. Whenever you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that increases the price of your design project and determines the terms of how you and I do business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Titusville entrepreneur knows they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly grasp the essential role their company logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo performs better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term impact on the growth of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Titusville companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the item or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s both a verb and a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the act of noting something to make sure that it can be recognized, its foundation comes from the brand burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand symbolizes virtually anything with an objective, regardless of whether it be profit or politics, a brand is an innate aspect of defining the value of something in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s attractive sister, they are all from the very same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity contest directed at a target market, it’s objective is to create an image that the target market will connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When somebody says the names Porsche or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals want those brands. Brand image is why individuals acquire most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Agencies – If you look back at the origin of many branding agencies you’ll discover that they are often rebranded marketing and advertising companies. When someone claims they are in advertising many people will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that focuses on a type of visual design that helps shape the image of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, signage designs, packaging, as well as collateral material such as cards, stationery, as well as pamphlets. Some visual designers also build sites and software interfaces. The important function of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of affecting actions, results and also understandings.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Titusville coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an older part of the area and wished to cast a nostalgic tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by developing a symbol concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and germs made for Titusville medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog created for a family members fun center in Titusville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Titusville travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Titusville logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Titusville logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Titusville publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the things people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Titusville logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Titusville, design include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a Titusville hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that conveyed a sense of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style developed for an equine ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a distinct organization logo concept customized to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. With an unique head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Titusville Coffee shop logo layout a little dining establishment, style contains a customized script font which hovers over a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, design contains a changed script font which hovers over a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software application designer the style features and also legendary Titusville aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Advance logo design created for a Titusvilleinterior developer, layout function a collection of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Titusville interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who prepares, researches, coordinates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that consists of conceptual development, space planning, site evaluations, programming, research, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and execution of the design.

logo design provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Titusville, the personalities for letter V and also A in middle of the word progressed have been changed to link directly right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Titusville logo design job was done for a management coach that enables business leaders to become more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Titusville business logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Titusville business logo design using an illustration that captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Titusville company logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Titusville regional farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a graphic that projected esteem, success, and opulence.

Titusville Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for outwardly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned Titusville sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
