West Melbourne Logo Design

Every new West Melbourne company realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the vital role their company logo can play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long term effect on the success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help West Melbourne companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a West Melbourne coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older section of town and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks via developing a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for West Melbourne clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a family enjoyable facility in West Melbourne.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for West Melbourne traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Melbourne logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

West Melbourne logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for West Melbourne book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book since it is often the first thing a person views in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

West Melbourne logo design used for marketing and a label design for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in West Melbourne, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which conveyed a feeling of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software application programmer the design functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their West Melbourne business logo dsign utilizing an illustration that pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really composed for an West Melbourne regional farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Logo design created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
