POINTERS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they simply cannot refund the amount of time you commit which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a designer can only be judged by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t feature actual samples chances are they will not be able to deliver a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and remembered, and it’s purpose is to mirror your unique vision for your organization. If a designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they can get paid.

West Palm Beach LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners develop notable brands. We’ve performed brand design work for mechanics, colleges, heart surgeons, party planners, coffee shops, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business concern you can think of. What makes ImageCo different compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every brand identity project as if it will be utilized as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first technique our brand identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from fashion labels to billboards. Our sign first method insures that our logo designs are just as reliable whether they are used in TV commercials or web applications, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered no matter of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you might have come across in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are retained to perform, we do ourselves. Irrespective of the type of design project we accept, business logo, website, trade show booth, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our client’s projects to agencies located outside the US. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not an agent that marks up the price of your design project and dictates the terms of how you and I conduct business.

ASPECTS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Every new West Palm Beach business understands that they probably need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the vital role their logo design can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the growth of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help West Palm Beach businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the item or business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb as well as a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the process of marking something so that it could be distinguished, its foundation originates from the brand burned onto livestock. Today a brand indicates pretty much anything with a motive, regardless of whether it be profit or government agencies, a brand is an inherent aspect of defining the worth of something in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s attractive sister, they are both from the very same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a target market, it’s objective is to produce a mental image that the target market can connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured through advertising and marketing and identity design. When someone states the brand names Ferrari or Mustang what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals purchase those products. Brand image is why people acquire specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the history of most branding companies you’ll discover that they are quite often re-branded advertising agencies. When a person says they are in advertising lots of people will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. But when somebody says “I’m in branding”… it just seems more attractive, perhaps it’s because the majority of people do not fully understand what it implies to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and kind of sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that explains the visual aspects of a product or company that influence view points. This primarily consists of the name, the logo design, the product packaging, the colors utilized however can additionally consist of audio, lighting, texture, signage, actually anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that concentrates on a kind of visual design that helps form the public image of a firm, a product or a business. Brand identity designers create logo designs, signage designs, packaging, and also collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some visual designers also build sites and software interfaces. The necessary role of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of influencing activities, outcomes and assumptions.

Featured SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a West Palm Beach coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an old section of town and wanted to visualize a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of developing a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs designed for West Palm Beach medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable center in West Palm Beach.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for West Palm Beach traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Palm Beach logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

West Palm Beach logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for West Palm Beach book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems that in many instances one of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a success.

West Palm Beach logo design made use of for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in West Palm Beach, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a West Palm Beach hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that conveyed a spirit of peace and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo layout created for a horse ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct custom logo concept fashioned to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With a different head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable horse breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A West Palm Beach Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, layout includes a changed script font style which hovers above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a changed manuscript typeface which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software designer the design functions and also renowned West Palm Beach aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Advance logo design developed for a West Palm Beachinterior designer, layout feature a series of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a West Palm Beach interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who arranges, explores, collaborates, and manages such projects. Interior design is a diverse profession that consists of conceptual development, area planning, location assessments, programming, research study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in West Palm Beach, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words advanced have been customized to tie straight right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular West Palm Beach logo design job was performed for a management consultant that enables business professionals to become more efficient at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A West Palm Beach business logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their West Palm Beach business logo design using a graphic that pulls in the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this West Palm Beach company logo design has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really composed for an West Palm Beach area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to design a brand mark that projects assurance, financial success, and opulence.

West Palm Beach Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design feature for outwardly facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo design developed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned West Palm Beach sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
