Georgia Logo Design

Nearly every new Georgia business professional knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully grasp the crucial role their organization’s logo will make in their becoming successful, or why one logo design functions better than another. A logo has an instant and lasting effect on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Georgia  companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Georgia, Georgia coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an old section of the town and really wanted to project a vintage vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by designing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria created for Georgia, Georgia medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Georgia, Georgia.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Georgia, Georgia travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Georgia logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Georgia logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral judgements on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how important a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Georgia, Georgia book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, but it really is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the traits folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Georgia logo layout made use of for advertising and a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Georgia, Georgia, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which communicated a spirit of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software program designer the design attributes and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Georgia logo design dsign with an image that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really produced for an Georgia, Georgia regional farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate a brand mark that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Georgia Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design made for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
