Alpharetta, Georgia Logo Design

Nearly every new Alpharetta organization understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the vital role their logo will play in their success, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Alpharetta, Georgia companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Alpharetta, Georgia coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old part of the area and wanted to project an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via creating a custom logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs created for Alpharetta, Georgia clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Alpharetta, Georgia traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Alpharetta logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Alpharetta logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Alpharetta, Georgia book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book given that it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Alpharetta logo design made use of for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Alpharetta, Georgia, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it seems that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that projected a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious route of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the main focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo layout for a software programmer the style attributes and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Alpharetta business logo dsign utilizing an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really developed for an Alpharetta, Georgia regional farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create a graphic that projects trust, success, and wealth.

Alpharetta Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally dealing with arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design made for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to design a logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
