Augusta Logo Design

Nearly every new Augusta business knows they require a logo, however few new business owners fully recognize the essential role their company logo will make in their success, or precisely why one logo performs better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Augusta businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Augusta coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older part of the city and wanted to cast a nostalgic vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two jobs by designing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Augusta medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping green frog developed for a household fun facility in Augusta.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Augusta traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Augusta logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Augusta logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s portion of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Augusta book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a published book since it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Augusta logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Augusta, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that related a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Augusta business logo dsign with a graphic which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Augusta regional farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to develop an identity that projects assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo made for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
