Augusta, Georgia Logo Design

Virtually every new Augusta venture knows they require a logo, yet few new business owners entirely recognize the pivotal role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting impact on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Augusta, Georgia businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Augusta, Georgia coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older part of the town and hoped to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both tasks via developing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Augusta, Georgia medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Augusta, Georgia.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Augusta, Georgia travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Augusta logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Augusta logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo realize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Augusta, Georgia book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences one of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to confering a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Augusta logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Augusta, Georgia, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it seems that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed a feeling of calmness and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the design attributes and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Augusta logo dsign using an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Augusta, Georgia area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to design a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and wealth.

Augusta Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design attribute for outwardly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the freedom to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first go.

Logo made for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
