Canton Logo Design

Virtually every new Canton business understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their logo design can play in their success, or precisely why one logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term influence on the prosperity of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Canton businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Canton coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old part of the town and hoped to cast a vintage feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs via designing a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Canton medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family fun center in Canton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Canton travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Canton logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Canton logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Canton publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Canton logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Canton, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it seems that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that related a feeling of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo style for a software designer the design functions as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Canton logo dsign utilizing a graphic which pulls in the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo design made for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
