Carrollton Logo Design

Each and every new Carrollton venture realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the essential role their logo will play in their financial success, or why one logo functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Carrollton businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Carrollton coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older section of the city and wanted to visualize a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via designing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and germs created for Carrollton clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Carrollton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Carrollton traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carrollton logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Carrollton logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Carrollton book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it really is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems that in many cases 1 of the traits consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Carrollton logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Carrollton, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which carried a feeling of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo style for a software program programmer the design features as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Carrollton logo dsign along with an illustration which pulls in the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Carrollton regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a image that projected self-confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
