Dalton Logo Design

Each and every new Dalton organization realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the pivotal role their logo design will take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Dalton businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Dalton coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old section of the area and wanted to project a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both jobs by creating a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Dalton medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Dalton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Dalton travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Dalton logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Dalton logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Dalton book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Dalton logo design used for advertising and marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Dalton, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected a spirit of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout developed for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind brand design fashioned to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With an unique head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny dining establishment, style contains a modified manuscript typeface which floats over a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software designer the design features and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Evolve logo style produced for a Dalton indoor designer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Dalton logo dsign with an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Dalton regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
