Marietta Logo Design

Every new Marietta organization understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully realize the crucial role their organization logo will make in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting influence on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Marietta businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Marietta coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an old section of town and wanted to project a retro atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of designing a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Marietta medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun facility in Marietta.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Marietta traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Marietta logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Marietta logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Marietta publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a published book since it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Marietta logo layout utilized for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Marietta, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that conveyed an atmosphere of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program designer the layout functions and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Marietta business logo dsign utilizing a graphic that seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually created for an Marietta area farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this company logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to create a graphic that projected trust, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design made for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
