Norcross Logo Design

Nearly every new Norcross venture understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely grasp the essential role their logo can make in their financial success, or why one logo functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and long term impact on the prosperity of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Norcross businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Norcross coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an older part of town and wanted to visualize a vintage tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by developing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria made for Norcross medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a household fun center in Norcross.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Norcross traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Norcross logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Norcross logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Norcross book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many instances one of the things consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was definitely a success.

Norcross logo style utilized for marketing and also a label design for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Norcross, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a spirit of peace and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application designer the style attributes and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Norcross business logo dsign using an illustration which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually developed for an Norcross regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to design a image that projected trust, success, and affluence.
Logo design developed for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
