Perry Logo Design

Nearly every new Perry venture realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the crucial role their organization logo can take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo has a critical and long-term effect on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Perry businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Perry coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an older part of the town and wanted to project a retro atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished both tasks by means of developing a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Perry medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a household fun facility in Perry.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Perry traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Perry logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Perry logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Perry book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many cases 1 of the items consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

Perry logo style used for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Perry, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it appears that every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which carried an atmosphere of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software developer the style functions and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Perry business logo dsign with an illustration that captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Perry regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a brand mark that projects self-confidence, financial success, and luxury.

I have created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
