Rome, Georgia Logo Design

Nearly every new Rome business realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the crucial role their business logo will perform in their financial success, or exactly why one logo performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the growth of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Rome, Georgia companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Rome, Georgia coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old section of the area and really wanted to impart a nostalgic tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by creating a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is an ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for Rome, Georgia medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family fun facility in Rome, Georgia.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Rome, Georgia travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rome logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Rome logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Rome, Georgia publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many occurrences one of the things consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was surely a success.

Rome logo layout made use of for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Rome, Georgia, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which projected a sense of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious route of creating just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software designer the layout features as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Rome logo design dsign with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really created for an Rome, Georgia area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to create an identity that projected confidence, success, and prosperity.

Rome Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design developed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is reminiscent of a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
