Sandy Springs, Georgia Logo Design

Nearly every new Sandy Springs business understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the pivotal role their company logo will make in their financial success, or exactly why one logo performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the viability of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Sandy Springs, Georgia companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Sandy Springs, Georgia coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old part of the town and hoped to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by means of creating a trademark design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Sandy Springs, Georgia medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Sandy Springs, Georgia travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sandy Springs logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Sandy Springs logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s share of obstacles, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Sandy Springs, Georgia book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a published book considering that it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Sandy Springs logo layout made use of for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Sandy Springs, Georgia, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it seems that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that carried a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious route of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software application designer the style functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Sandy Springs logo dsign using an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Sandy Springs, Georgia area farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this logo design was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and luxury.

Sandy Springs Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design feature for ostensibly encountering arrow and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
