POINTERS ON IDENTIFYING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company offers a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can’t reimburse the amount of time you invest which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a design firm can only be determined from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not contain actual samples chances are they will never be able to deliver a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be recognized and remembered, and it’s goal is to reflect your personal vision for your business. If a designer isn’t focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Winder LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs develop memorable brands. We’ve performed brand design work for ranchers, educational institutions, heart surgeons, party planners, diners, retail stores, and practically every other kind of business concern you can think of. What makes ImageCo different compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every branding project as though it will be employed as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first approach our designs can, and have been used in everything from clothing labels to electrical signs. Our sign first method guarantees that our logo designs are just as reliable whether they are used in TV commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and always remembered irrespective of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you may have encountered online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are enlisted to do, we perform in-house. Irrespective of the kind of design project we accept, logo design, web site, trade show exhibit, or retail sign, we do not, and never will job out our client’s work to agencies located outside the United States. When you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that increases the price of your project and imposes the terms of how we do business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Winder entrepreneur understands that they probably need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the crucial role their logo can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo works better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining impact on the viability of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Winder companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need consideration, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to retail signs a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the act of marking something so that it can be distinguished, its genesis originates from the mark burned onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes pretty much anything with an objective, whether it be revenue or politics, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy sister, they are each from the exact same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to develop an image that the audience will likely relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When a person mentions the names Ferrari or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and that is what makes people buy those brands. Brand image is why individuals acquire specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the beginning of a lot of branding companies you’ll discover that they are often re-branded advertising and marketing agencies. When a person states they are in advertising and marketing many people will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or heard become part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that focuses on a kind of visual design that helps shape the perception of a firm, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, signage designs, packaging, and also collateral material such as business cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some identity designers also develop sites as well as user interfaces. The important role of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues as well as a psychological tone with the goal of affecting activities, outcomes as well as understandings.

select logos & signs

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Winder coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old section of the town and wished to project a vintage tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both jobs via creating a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Winder medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in Winder.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Winder traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Winder logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Winder logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job has it’s portion of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Winder book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a printed book given that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Winder logo style utilized for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Winder, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that almost every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a Winder hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that related an atmosphere of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the perception that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian steed logo style developed for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original business logo design customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having an unique head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Winder Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, style consists of a customized manuscript font style which floats over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a tiny dining establishment, design contains a modified script font which hovers over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout functions and also famous Winder aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Evolve logo design created for a Winderinterior designer, design attribute a collection of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Winder interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who arranges, researches, coordinates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that involves conceptual development, area planning, location examinations, programming, research study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Winder, the personalities for letter V and also A in center of words progressed have actually been changed to connect directly right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Winder logo design job was completed for a leadership specialist that enables business leaders to develop into more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A Winder business logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their used goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Winder logo design design along with an image which pulls in the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this Winder company logo design has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really produced for an Winder area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to make a brand mark that projects trust, financial success, and luxury.

Winder Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a well-known Winder sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
