Ewa Gentry Logo Design

Virtually every new Ewa Gentry business knows they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely realize the vital role their company logo can perform in their success, or why one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term effect on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Ewa Gentry businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Ewa Gentry coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old part of the community and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via creating a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Ewa Gentry medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Ewa Gentry.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Ewa Gentry traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ewa Gentry logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Ewa Gentry logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s share of hurdles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Ewa Gentry publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a printed book because it is often the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the traits consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Ewa Gentry logo layout made use of for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Ewa Gentry, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that conveyed an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design features and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Ewa Gentry business logo dsign with an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Ewa Gentry area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to create a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
