Kaneohe, Hawaii Logo Design

Virtually every new Kaneohe business knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully are aware of the pivotal role their organization logo will make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the prosperity of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Kaneohe, Hawaii companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Kaneohe, Hawaii coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of town and wished to visualize a vintage feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of developing a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Kaneohe, Hawaii clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable facility in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Kaneohe, Hawaii traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Kaneohe logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Kaneohe logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Kaneohe, Hawaii publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Kaneohe logo design made use of for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Kaneohe, Hawaii, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which conveyed a sense of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style created for a steed ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct creative logo concept styled to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having an unique head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately identifiable horse types in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a tiny restaurant, layout consists of a modified manuscript font which floats over a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the layout attributes and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Kaneohe business logo dsign using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually designed for an Kaneohe, Hawaii area farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this company was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to develop a image that projected self-assurance, financial success, and luxury.

Kaneohe Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
