Idaho Logo Design

Virtually every new Idaho company knows they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the essential role their organization’s logo can make in their success, or why one logo design functions better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term effect on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Idaho  businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Idaho, Idaho coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old section of the city and hoped to project an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by creating a business logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Idaho, Idaho medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Idaho, Idaho.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Idaho, Idaho travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Idaho logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Idaho logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo realize how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s share of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Idaho, Idaho publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Idaho logo layout utilized for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Idaho, Idaho, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that almost every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected a sense of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, design consists of a changed manuscript typeface which floats over a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software program designer the style features and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Idaho logo design dsign along with an image that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Idaho, Idaho regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a image that projects confidence, success, and opulence.

Idaho Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design function for outwardly facing arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the flexibility to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo developed for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
