Idaho Logo Design

Each and every new Idaho venture understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs are thoroughly aware of the pivotal role their company logo will play in their success, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A logo design has an instant and lasting impact on the success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Idaho businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Idaho coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an old part of town and hoped to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via designing a logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Idaho clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design Project

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun center in Idaho.

Cool Springs | Retail Branding Project

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Idaho travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Idaho logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Idaho logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design Project

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo comprehend how important a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of challenges, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Idaho book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design Project

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a published book since it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books. This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design Project

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many cases one of the items consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Idaho logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design Project

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Idaho, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design Project

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry. I actually enjoy doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on. Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.
William McNally logo design designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design Project

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to convey. The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.
Logo design produced for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that communicated a sense of contentment and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.
Arabian horse logo design developed for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design Project

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind logotype concept styled to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With an unique head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable equine lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design Project

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny restaurant, design consists of a customized script typeface which hovers over a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software programmer the layout features and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design Project

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Advance logo style produced for a Idaho interior designer, layout function a collection of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design Project

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Idaho logo design job was done for a management advisor that enables business leaders to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and productivity.
A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Idaho logo design design utilizing an illustration that captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Idaho regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this logo design was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to design a brand mark that projects assurance, financial success, and prosperity.

Idaho Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly facing arrow and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first try.

Logo created for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
