Caldwell, Idaho Logo Design

Nearly every new Caldwell company understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners fully understand the essential role their logo design will make in their financial success, or precisely why one logo performs far better than another. A company logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Caldwell, Idaho companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Caldwell, Idaho coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an old section of the town and wanted to project a retro atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by means of creating a company logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for Caldwell, Idaho medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Caldwell, Idaho.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Caldwell, Idaho travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Caldwell logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Caldwell logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s portion of hurdles, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Caldwell, Idaho book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Caldwell logo layout used for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Caldwell, Idaho, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that carried a feeling of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application programmer the layout attributes and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Caldwell logo dsign with a graphic which grabs the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually composed for an Caldwell, Idaho area farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to design a graphic that projects self-confidence, financial success, and opulence.

Caldwell Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style feature for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the opportunity to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo developed for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
