Kuna Logo Design

Nearly every new Kuna company knows they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly recognize the vital role their logo can play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Kuna companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Kuna coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old part of the community and really wanted to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via developing a business logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Kuna clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun center in Kuna.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Kuna travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Kuna logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Kuna logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of obstacles, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Kuna book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book since it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences one of the items consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a success.

Kuna logo layout utilized for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Kuna, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it seems that every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design created for an equine ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo style a tiny dining establishment, style consists of a modified manuscript font style which hovers above a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software program designer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Progress logo style created for a Kuna interior developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Kuna business logo dsign along with an illustration which pulls in the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Kuna regional farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to produce a graphic that projected assurance, success, and affluence.
Logo created for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
