Moscow, Idaho Logo Design

Nearly every new Moscow venture understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their business logo will make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long term impact on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Moscow, Idaho businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Moscow, Idaho coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old part of the area and hoped to project a vintage vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by means of designing a business logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for Moscow, Idaho clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable facility in Moscow, Idaho.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Moscow, Idaho traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Moscow logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Moscow logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how important a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Moscow, Idaho publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to confering a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Moscow logo style used for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Moscow, Idaho, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which carried a spirit of relaxation and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo design for a software developer the style attributes and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Moscow logo design dsign utilizing an illustration which grabs the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Moscow, Idaho area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to produce a graphic that projected self-assurance, success, and wealth.

Moscow Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for externally encountering arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
