Pocatello, Idaho Logo Design

Nearly every new Pocatello venture realizes that they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the essential role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and lasting influence on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Pocatello, Idaho companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Pocatello, Idaho coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an older section of the city and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of creating a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Pocatello, Idaho clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog developed for a family fun facility in Pocatello, Idaho.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Pocatello, Idaho traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pocatello logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Pocatello logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how important a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Pocatello, Idaho book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book because it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many instances one of the traits individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Pocatello logo style used for marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Pocatello, Idaho, design include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which communicated a feeling of ease and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind organization logo concept customized to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With an identifiable head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable horse breeds in the world.

Logo style for a software programmer the style attributes and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Pocatello logo design dsign using an image that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really produced for an Pocatello, Idaho area farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this logo design was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make a graphic that projects self-confidence, financial success, and luxury.

Pocatello Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design developed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
