Twin Falls, Idaho Logo Design

Nearly every new Twin Falls venture realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely realize the vital role their company logo will make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo performs better than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Twin Falls, Idaho businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Twin Falls, Idaho coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older part of the city and hoped to project a nostalgic tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by means of designing a logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs made for Twin Falls, Idaho medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Twin Falls, Idaho traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Twin Falls logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Twin Falls logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Twin Falls, Idaho book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was surely a winner.

Twin Falls logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Twin Falls, Idaho, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which related a sense of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo design for a software application designer the design functions and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Twin Falls logo dsign using an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually developed for an Twin Falls, Idaho regional farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce a brand mark that projected confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Twin Falls Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for ostensibly encountering arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo developed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
