ImageCo Logo & Sign

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping business owners grow notable brands. We have performed logo design work for mechanics, universities, heart surgeons, party planners, coffee shops, retailers, and practically every other kind of business you can envision. What makes ImageCo different compared to ordinary graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every branding project as though it will be used as an electrical sign and because of this technique our identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first technique insures that our logos are just as effective whether they are used in television commercials or website headers, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and always remembered irrespective of scale or function.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design agencies that you might possibly have encountered in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are brought on board to perform, we do ourselves. Irrespective of the type of design project we take on, logo, web page, trade show booth, or electric sign, we do not, and never will contract out our client’s projects to organizations located outside the USA. When you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that marks up the cost of your design project and imposes the terms of how we do business.

Avondale Logo Design

It’s likely that every new Avondale business understands that they probably need a logo, yet few start ups entirely recognize the crucial role their organization’s logo will perform in their success, or the reason that one logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and lasting impact on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Avondale businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not need scrutiny, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to retail signs a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the item or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s both a verb as well as a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the process of marking something to ensure that it can be distinguished, its origin comes from the brand branded onto livestock. These days a brand signifies basically anything with an objective, whether it be profit or political parties, a brand is an inherent aspect of defining the worth of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are both from the exact same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition targeted at a target audience, it’s goal is to produce an image that the audience will likely connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person says the names Ferrari or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals purchase those products. Brand image is why individuals buy specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you reflect on the origin of a lot of branding agencies you’ll discover that they are quite often re-branded advertising and marketing agencies. When someone says they are in advertising most people will likely have an idea about what they do. But when a person says “I am in branding”… it just seems more attractive, maybe it’s due to the fact that most people do not know what it implies to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and maybe even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that describes the visual elements of a product or business that affect view points. This mainly consists of the name, the logo design, the packaging, the different colors utilized yet can additionally consist of audio, lighting, texture, signs, just about anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that concentrates on a type of visual design which helps form the image of a company, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, and collateral material such as cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some visual designers also design web sites and also software interfaces. The vital role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and an emotional tone with the objective of influencing activities, outcomes as well as assumptions.

select signs/logos

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Avondale coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old part of the town and really wanted to cast a retro atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs via creating a company logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs created for Avondale medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Avondale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Avondale traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Avondale logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Avondale logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo realize how essential a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Avondale book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many occurrences one of the things individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was definitely a success.

Avondale logo style made use of for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Avondale, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a Avondale hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which communicated a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo layout created for an equine ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique logotype design customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. By having a different head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable equine types in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Avondale Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, design consists of a changed script font which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, layout includes a changed script font which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software programmer the design attributes as well as iconic Avondale component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Advance logo style produced for a Avondaleinterior designer, style attribute a series of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Avondale interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who plans, explores, collaborates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that consists of conceptual development, space planning, location evaluations, programming, investigation, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Avondale, the characters for letter V and also A in center of words advanced have actually been changed to connect straight into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Avondale logo design job was carried out for a management guide that aids business professionals to develop into more effective at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A Avondale business logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Avondale business logo design using an illustration that seizes the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Avondale company logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Avondale area farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.

Avondale Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo design function for ostensibly facing arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design created for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a renowned Avondale sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
