Avondale Logo Design

Each and every new Avondale company realizes that they require a logo, but few new business owners fully recognize the pivotal role their logo can take in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Avondale businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Avondale coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old section of the community and really wanted to visualize a retro atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Avondale medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a family fun center in Avondale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Avondale travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Avondale logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Avondale logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Avondale publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Avondale logo design made use of for marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation features an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Avondale, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that almost every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that carried an atmosphere of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style created for a horse ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo style a small restaurant, layout includes a modified manuscript font which floats over a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little dining establishment, layout includes a modified manuscript typeface which floats over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout features as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Evolve logo layout created for a Avondale interior developer, layout feature a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in center of words advanced have been modified to connect directly right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Avondale logo design project was done for a management advisor that helps business leaders to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Avondale logo dsign with an illustration that seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Avondale regional farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this particular business logo was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to develop an identity that projects trust, success, and prosperity.
Logo created for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
