Bartlett Logo Design

Nearly every new Bartlett venture understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the crucial role their logo will make in their financial success, or why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bartlett businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Bartlett coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an older part of the area and wanted to project a vintage feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished both tasks via designing a business logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria designed for Bartlett medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable center in Bartlett.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Bartlett travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bartlett logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Bartlett logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Bartlett book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was surely a victory.

Bartlett logo layout used for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance features an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Bartlett, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which communicated a feeling of peace and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software designer the design functions and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Bartlett logo dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really composed for an Bartlett regional farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate an identity that projects confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo designed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
