Bolingbrook Logo Design

Every new Bolingbrook business realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the essential role their organization logo can take in their success, or the reason that one logo works better than another. A logo has a critical and long term effect on the prosperity of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bolingbrook companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Bolingbrook coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old part of the city and wished to cast a vintage tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via designing a sign design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Bolingbrook clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog developed for a family fun center in Bolingbrook.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Bolingbrook travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bolingbrook logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Bolingbrook logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Bolingbrook publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the things individuals tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Bolingbrook logo style utilized for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Bolingbrook, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it seems that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that conveyed a sense of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program programmer the design attributes and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Bolingbrook business logo dsign with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Bolingbrook area farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this particular trademark was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
