STRATEGIES ON PICKING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company offers a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not refund the amount of time you invest which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but ultimately a design agency can only be determined by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t contain real life samples chances are they will not be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to echo your personal vision for your organization. If a logo designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how soon they can get paid.

Brookfield LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping business owners grow unforgettable brand identities. We have done logo design work for builders, educational institutions, diamond miners, wedding singers, diners, retail stores, and virtually every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes us unique compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every branding project as if it will be utilized as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first strategy our designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to electrical signs. Our sign first technique insures that our logos are equally effective whether they are used in television commercials or website headers, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and always remembered regardless of size or application.

American Made ★ Design

Something which truly sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you probably have found on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are enlisted to perform, we perform in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we take on, logo, web page, trade show exhibit, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s projects to 3rd parties based outside the USA. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that increases the price of your design project and determines the conditions of how we do business.

QUALITIES OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

Every new Brookfield entrepreneur knows they need a logo, however few new business owners fully comprehend the pivotal role their logo design can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining impact on the viability of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Brookfield businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from label to retail signs a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the item or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is a verb as well as a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the act of marking something to make sure that it can be distinguished, its genesis originates from the brand branded onto livestock. These days a brand symbolizes virtually anything with an intention, regardless of whether it be profit or politics, a brand is an inherent aspect of specifying the worth of a specific thing in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are both from the same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity competition aimed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to produce a mental image that the audience will likely connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person says the brand names Lamborghini or Corvette what we think about is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals buy those brands. Brand image is why individuals identify with most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can identify with.

Branding Firms – If you reflect on the history of the majority of branding agencies you’ll discover that they are often rebranded advertising and marketing firms. When somebody states they are in advertising and marketing lots of people will likely have an idea about what they do. However when someone says “I’m in branding”… it simply sounds much more attractive, possibly it’s since most people don’t fully understand what it implies to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and kind of attractive.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that defines the visual components of a product or business that affect view points. This mostly consists of the name, the logo, the packaging, the colors used but can also include sound, lights, texture, signs, actually anything that can be seen, touched or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that specializes in a kind of visual design which helps shape the public image of a business, a product or an institution. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral products such as cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some visual designers also design sites and also user interfaces. The necessary role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of influencing actions, outcomes and assumptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Brookfield coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older section of the community and wanted to project an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via designing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Brookfield medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Brookfield.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Brookfield traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Brookfield logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Brookfield logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective opinions on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Brookfield book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a printed book considering that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases one of the traits people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Brookfield logo style utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Brookfield, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a Brookfield hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that conveyed an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo design produced for a steed ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a distinct custom logo design customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With a distinctive head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Brookfield Coffee shop logo design a small dining establishment, design contains a modified manuscript font style which floats over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a little dining establishment, layout consists of a changed manuscript font style which floats over a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the design features as well as iconic Brookfield aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Advance logo style developed for a Brookfieldindoor designer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Brookfield interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is an individual who plans, investigates, coordinates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted occupation that includes conceptual development, space planning, site assessments, programming, study, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Brookfield, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of words progressed have actually been modified to tie straight right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Brookfield logo design job was carried out for a leadership expert that aids business leaders to develop into more effective at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Brookfield business logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Brookfield logo design with an image that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.

Logo layout MQ farms, this Brookfield company logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually produced for an Brookfield area farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a brand mark that projects self-confidence, financial success, and affluence.

Brookfield Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style feature for externally encountering arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo created for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a famous Brookfield sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to develop a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
