Carol Stream Logo Design

Each and every new Carol Stream company understands that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their company logo will take in their financial success, or why one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the growth of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Carol Stream companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Carol Stream coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an older part of the town and really wanted to cast an old-fashioned feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via creating a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and germs created for Carol Stream clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Carol Stream.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Carol Stream travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carol Stream logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Carol Stream logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo realize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Carol Stream publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Carol Stream logo style used for advertising and marketing and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Carol Stream, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that projected an atmosphere of peace and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design attributes as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Progress logo layout created for a Carol Stream indoor designer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Carol Stream business logo dsign using an image that seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Carol Stream area farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to create an identity that projected confidence, success, and luxury.
Logo design developed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the business owner to produce a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
