Carol Stream, Illinois Logo Design

Each and every new Carol Stream venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the crucial role their logo will take in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long term effect on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Carol Stream, Illinois companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Carol Stream, Illinois coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older part of the city and really wanted to project a vintage tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via designing a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Carol Stream, Illinois medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping green frog made for a household enjoyable facility in Carol Stream, Illinois.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Carol Stream, Illinois travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carol Stream logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Carol Stream logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Carol Stream, Illinois book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many instances one of the things consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Carol Stream logo style used for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Carol Stream, Illinois, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it appears that virtually every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that communicated an atmosphere of serenity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design developed for a steed ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind logo design customized to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With an identifiable head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo design a small dining establishment, layout contains a changed script typeface which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Develop logo layout produced for a Carol Stream, Illinois indoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Carol Stream business logo dsign with an illustration that captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Carol Stream, Illinois area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make a graphic that projects self-confidence, financial success, and wealth.

Carol Stream Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo created for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
