Englewood Logo Design

Every new Englewood organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly understand the key role their organization logo can play in their success, or why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Englewood businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Englewood coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an old section of the town and wished to project a retro vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by designing a sign concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs created for Englewood medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun center in Englewood.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Englewood traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Englewood logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Englewood logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Englewood publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Englewood logo design made use of for marketing and also a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Englewood, layout consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that carried a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application developer the layout attributes and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Progress logo style created for a Englewood indoor designer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Englewood business logo dsign using a graphic that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually developed for an Englewood area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to produce an identity that projects trust, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to design a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
