Galesburg Logo Design

Virtually every new Galesburg venture knows they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely comprehend the essential role their logo design can perform in their financial success, or why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and lasting influence on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Galesburg businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Galesburg coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older section of the community and wished to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by creating a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Galesburg clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a household fun center in Galesburg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Galesburg traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Galesburg logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Galesburg logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how important a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Galesburg book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a printed book considering that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many occurrences one of the things folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Galesburg logo layout used for marketing and also a label design for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Galesburg, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated a sense of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian steed logo layout created for an equine ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original creative logo design customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a distinctive head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately identifiable equine breeds in the world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a little dining establishment, design includes a changed manuscript font which hovers over a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the design functions and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Advance logo design developed for a Galesburg indoor designer, layout feature a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Galesburg logo design job was undertaken for a management guide that aids business leaders to develop into more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Galesburg business logo dsign using an image which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really composed for an Galesburg area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to generate a image that projects confidence, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design made for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
