Glenview Logo Design

Virtually every new Glenview venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the essential role their business logo can perform in their success, or precisely why one logo performs better than another. A logo has a critical and long-term influence on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Glenview businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Glenview coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old section of the community and hoped to project a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by means of designing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Glenview medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog designed for a family members fun center in Glenview.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Glenview traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Glenview logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Glenview logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Glenview publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book because it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many instances one of the traits folks usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was surely a success.

Glenview logo layout made use of for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Glenview, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed an atmosphere of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design developed for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software programmer the layout functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Glenview logo design dsign along with an image that pulls in the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually created for an Glenview area farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this company was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to make an identity that projected self-assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
