Hoffman Estates Logo Design

Nearly every new Hoffman Estates business realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the pivotal role their business logo will play in their financial success, or the reason that one logo performs more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term impact on the prosperity of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Hoffman Estates businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Hoffman Estates coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old part of the town and hoped to project a nostalgic feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of creating a symbol concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Hoffman Estates medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun facility in Hoffman Estates.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Hoffman Estates traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hoffman Estates logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Hoffman Estates logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s portion of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Hoffman Estates publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a published book since it is often the very first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it looks like that in many instances one of the things people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Hoffman Estates logo design used for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Hoffman Estates, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it appears that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which communicated an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software program developer the style functions as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Hoffman Estates logo design dsign along with a graphic which captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Hoffman Estates area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce a brand mark that projected trust, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo created for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to produce a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
