Macomb Logo Design

Every new Macomb company understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully recognize the vital role their organization logo can play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Macomb businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Macomb coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old section of the area and really wanted to cast a vintage feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of designing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs made for Macomb medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Macomb.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Macomb travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Macomb logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Macomb logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo comprehend how essential a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Macomb book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book because it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was surely a success.

Macomb logo design made use of for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Macomb, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which related a spirit of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo style for a software developer the layout functions as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Macomb logo design dsign using a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Macomb regional farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this logo was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate a graphic that projects trust, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
