Morgan Park Logo Design

Every new Morgan Park organization understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the essential role their business logo can play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo performs better than another. A logo has a critical and long-term effect on the success of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Morgan Park companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Morgan Park coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old part of the area and hoped to visualize a nostalgic tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by creating a sign concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Morgan Park medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping green frog created for a household enjoyable facility in Morgan Park.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Morgan Park traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Morgan Park logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Morgan Park logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Morgan Park publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a published book given that it is often the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many cases one of the traits folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Morgan Park logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Morgan Park, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that related a spirit of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style produced for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct custom logo design fashioned to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having a distinctive head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most immediately recognizable horse breeds in the entire world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little dining establishment, design consists of a changed script font style which hovers over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Evolve logo layout created for a Morgan Park indoor designer, style function a series of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Morgan Park logo design dsign with a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really developed for an Morgan Park area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop a image that projects assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
