North Lawndale Logo Design

Every new North Lawndale organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully grasp the crucial role their company logo can play in their success, or the reason that one logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term influence on the prosperity of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help North Lawndale companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a North Lawndale coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old part of town and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via creating a symbol design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs made for North Lawndale clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in North Lawndale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for North Lawndale traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Lawndale logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

North Lawndale logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for North Lawndale publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a published book since it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences one of the things consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

North Lawndale logo design used for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Case features an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in North Lawndale, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that related an atmosphere of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design features and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their North Lawndale logo design dsign along with a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really developed for an North Lawndale area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this particular trademark was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a graphic that projected self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo design developed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
