Oak Lawn Logo Design

Nearly every new Oak Lawn organization understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly understand the crucial role their organization logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one business logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term influence on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Oak Lawn companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Oak Lawn coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an older section of the community and wanted to visualize a retro feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of creating a logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria developed for Oak Lawn clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Oak Lawn.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Oak Lawn traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oak Lawn logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Oak Lawn logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Oak Lawn publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most vital part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the items consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Oak Lawn logo design made use of for advertising and a label style for Vintage Situation features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Oak Lawn, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which related a feeling of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo style a little dining establishment, layout includes a changed script typeface which floats above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software designer the layout attributes and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Oak Lawn business logo dsign using an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really created for an Oak Lawn regional farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this business logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo created for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
