Pekin Logo Design

Nearly every new Pekin business realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully grasp the key role their business logo will play in their financial success, or why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting impact on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Pekin businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Pekin coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older section of the city and really wanted to visualize a vintage tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via creating a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Pekin medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog made for a family members fun center in Pekin.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Pekin travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pekin logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Pekin logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral point of views on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Pekin publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most crucial part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many cases 1 of the items consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Pekin logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Pekin, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which carried a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo layout created for an equine cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind logotype concept styled to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With an unique head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine types in the entire world.

Logo style for a software designer the style functions as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Advance logo design produced for a Pekin indoor developer, style attribute a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Pekin logo design project was carried out for a management consultant that helps business leaders to become more efficient at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Pekin business logo dsign using an image that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really created for an Pekin regional farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this trademark was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to create a image that projects trust, success, and luxury.
Logo made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
