POINTERS FOR SELECTING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so when a design agency presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can not refund the time you commit which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many designers talk a good game but ultimately a design agency can only be judged by the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not feature actual samples chances are they will not be able to deliver a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to mirror your personal vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Romeoville LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds develop unforgettable brands. We’ve undertaken brand identity design work for farmers, schools, heart surgeons, wedding singers, coffee roasters, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business you can imagine. What makes us unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every branding project as though it will be utilized as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first approach our brand identity designs can, and have been utilized in everything from garment labels to neon signs. Our sign first approach guarantees that our logo designs are just as effective whether they are used in television commercials or web headers, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and remembered irrespective of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

Something which really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design agencies that you might possibly have come across on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are enlisted to do, we perform in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we take on, business logo, business website, trade show banners, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s work to 3rd parties based outside the United States. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that marks up the cost of your design project and imposes the conditions of how we conduct business.

ASPECTS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Romeoville organization realizes that they probably need a logo, but few start ups fully realize the vital role their logo can play in their becoming successful, or why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and long-term effect on the growth of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Romeoville companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from label to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the item or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is a verb as well as a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the act of denoting something to make sure that it could be recognized, its origin comes from the mark burned onto livestock. These days a brand signifies virtually anything with an objective, regardless if it be earnings or government agencies, a brand is an inherent aspect of defining the value of something in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are both from the same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity contest aimed at a specific audience, it’s goal is to produce a mental image that the target market will likely identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person mentions the names Lamborghini or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can transport us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes people want those brands. Brand image is why people acquire specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the history of many branding firms you’ll find that they are quite often re-branded advertising and marketing companies. When somebody claims they are in marketing the majority of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or heard are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that specializes in a type of visual design which helps form the image of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, sign designs, packaging, and also collateral products such as cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some visual designers also develop sites as well as software interfaces. The vital function of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and a psychological tone with the goal of influencing actions, outcomes and also assumptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Romeoville coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old section of the community and wished to visualize a retro atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by means of creating a symbol concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Romeoville medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in Romeoville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Romeoville travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Romeoville logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Romeoville logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Romeoville publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences one of the items consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Romeoville logo layout used for advertising and a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Romeoville, style include an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a Romeoville hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which conveyed a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design produced for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed an original creative logo concept customized to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. By having an unique head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable horse lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Romeoville Coffee shop logo design a small dining establishment, style consists of a changed manuscript typeface which hovers over a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny dining establishment, layout includes a changed manuscript typeface which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software application designer the layout features and legendary Romeoville element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo layout produced for a Romeovilleinterior designer, design function a collection of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Romeoville interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who organizes, researches, coordinates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that consists of conceptual development, area planning, site inspections, programming, analysis, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and execution of the design.

logo design provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Romeoville, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words progressed have been modified to connect straight into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Romeoville logo design job was performed for a leadership advisor that aids business leaders to develop into more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Romeoville business logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Romeoville logo design design utilizing an image which captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this Romeoville company logo style has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually produced for an Romeoville regional farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to generate a brand mark that projected assurance, financial success, and luxury.

Romeoville Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally facing arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a renowned Romeoville sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
