Round Lake Beach Logo Design

Every new Round Lake Beach venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully grasp the vital role their organization logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term influence on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Round Lake Beach companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Round Lake Beach coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an older part of town and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs via creating a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs created for Round Lake Beach medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household fun facility in Round Lake Beach.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Round Lake Beach traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Round Lake Beach logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Round Lake Beach logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how essential a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of hurdles, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Round Lake Beach publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the things people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Round Lake Beach logo style used for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation features an old typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Round Lake Beach, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that carried a feeling of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design features as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Round Lake Beach logo design dsign using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Round Lake Beach regional farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop a graphic that projected self-assurance, success, and affluence.
Logo made for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
