Streamwood Logo Design

Virtually every new Streamwood business knows they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the essential role their company logo will make in their success, or the reason that one business logo performs more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Streamwood businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Streamwood coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the area and wished to project a vintage vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via designing a symbol design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Streamwood clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a family fun center in Streamwood.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Streamwood traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Streamwood logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Streamwood logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased judgements on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how vital a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of challenges, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Streamwood book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a printed book because it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many cases 1 of the aspects folks tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Streamwood logo design made use of for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Streamwood, style include an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which projected a feeling of peace and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the attention on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout functions as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Develop logo style produced for a Streamwood interior developer, design function a series of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Streamwood logo design project was carried out for a management advisor that enables business professionals to become more successful at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Streamwood business logo dsign using an image that pulls in the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Streamwood area farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make a brand mark that projects self-assurance, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is evocative a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
